Using the site
By creating an account on bestinclass.fyi or posting anything to it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account, and you are responsible for everything posted from it.
One account per person. Do not share an account, run accounts on behalf of a brand without saying so, or create additional accounts to get around a suspension.
What you post
“Content” means anything you put on the site: ratings and review text, the notes attached to aspects, kits and their descriptions and item notes, product submissions, your handle, display name, bio, links, and any image you upload.
You keep ownership of your content. By posting it you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute it as part of the site, including in listings, search results, and the aggregate scores computed from ratings. You can delete your content at any time; aggregate scores it already fed into are recalculated without it.
You must have the right to post what you post. Do not upload photos, text, or logos you do not own or have permission to use.
Forbidden content
Do not post, upload, or link to any of the following. This applies everywhere — reviews, kits, notes, handles, bios, and images alike.
- Fake or paid ratings. Ratings for products you do not own, ratings written or arranged in exchange for money, free product, or any other benefit, ratings posted to inflate your own or a client’s product, and ratings posted to damage a competitor. This is the one rule the whole site rests on.
- Manipulation of scores or rankings. Multiple accounts, bought or traded accounts, bots, scripted submissions, coordinated voting rings, and anything else designed to move a score, an upvote count, or a position in a list by means other than an honest opinion.
- Illegal content. Anything unlawful where you are, or that promotes or facilitates crime — including the sale of stolen, counterfeit, or recalled goods, controlled substances, weapons that cannot lawfully be sold, or stolen credentials and financial data.
- Sexual content. Pornography, sexually explicit images or writing, and any sexual content involving minors, which we report to the relevant authorities without exception.
- Content involving minors. Images of children who are not yours to post, and any content that sexualises, endangers, or targets a minor.
- Hate and harassment. Slurs, and attacks or dehumanising content aimed at people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, disability, disease, age, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Also: targeted abuse, pile-ons, stalking, threats, and sexual harassment of another user, a seller, or anyone else.
- Violence. Threats of violence, glorification of violence or mass atrocities, gore posted for shock, and support for or promotion of terrorist or violent extremist organisations.
- Self-harm. Content that encourages suicide, self-injury, or disordered eating, or that gives instructions for them.
- Private information. Anyone’s home address, phone number, email, government ID, financial details, or account credentials — including your own — posted without that person’s consent.
- Impersonation and deception. Passing yourself off as another person, a brand, a retailer, or as staff of bestinclass.fyi; fabricated quotes or claims presented as fact; and dangerous misinformation about health, safety, or product recalls.
- Spam and advertising. Promotional copy, referral or affiliate links of your own, SEO link-dropping, chain messages, off-topic bulk posting, and duplicate submissions of the same product.
- Malicious material. Malware, phishing pages, links to either, and anything that attempts to attack, overload, scrape at scale, or probe the site or its users.
- Infringing material. Copyrighted text or images used without permission, other people’s product photography passed off as your own, and trademarks used in a way that suggests a brand endorsed you.
- Content generated to look like experience. Machine-written reviews presented as first-hand use of a product. Use whatever tools you like to tidy up your wording; the experience being described has to be yours.
Enforcement
We may remove any content that breaks these rules, and suspend or delete accounts that post it — usually without warning where the breach is deliberate, such as paid ratings or vote manipulation. Ratings we believe are inauthentic are removed from scores whether or not the account is suspended.
If you see something on the site that breaks these rules, tell us. Include a link to the page and what is wrong with it.
The site itself
bestinclass.fyi is provided as-is. Scores are opinions from other people, product details and prices come from third parties and go out of date, and outbound links go to retailers we do not control. Check anything that matters before you buy. We are not liable for a purchase you make after reading the site. Some outbound links earn us a commission — see the affiliate disclosure.
We may change these terms as the site changes. If the change is significant we will say so on the site rather than quietly editing this page.
